While you can definitely practice self-care by yourself, doing self-care with friends can take it to another level, as socializing is crucial to feeling good and supported!

That self-care with friends idea sounds good, but what activity can you do with friends? You probably don’t want to get naked and cramped in your not-so-big bathtub with your best friend for a bombed bath. Happily, there are tons of other self-care activities you can do together.
Remember, self-care is not just beauty and cosmetic stuff; it can be taking a good walk around your neighborhood. Why not ask a friend or two to join? The same goes for creative activities. Have a friend that draws amazingly good? Ask her if she can teach you the basics! Self-care can be a way to bond with your friends or family and learn new skills.
You can host a self-care night at your house and offer your friends to cook a healthy meal together. Bonus points if you are from different heritages/cultures, share recipes, and discover new foods. Planning to cook a brunch and eat it together on weekends is always a blast! Not feeling like cooking? Just order food at your favorite restaurant or go out for the night!

Lit some scented candles or get an aroma therapy diffuser to get in the mood. Cook your favorite healthy snacks. Grab some sheet masks, comfy blankets, and the last season of your favorite show.
Depending on how everyone is with the idea, massaging each others’ hands, feet or back can be great and relaxing. If one of your friends knows the art of waxing, she can do it for you or teach you how. Self-care with friends is also about teaching, learning, and sharing.
Taking classes on whatever you are interested in can also be a good self-care with friends idea. It can be sports: yoga, Zumba, dance, or fitness. Self-care with friends VS self-care alone
So it is better to do self-care with friends or alone? Actually, one is not better than the other. They are complementary. Spending time with friends doing self-care activities is excellent, but keeping time to be alone and recenter is also essential. One is not better than the other, and you should indulge in both as they won’t have the same benefits for your mental health.
You can also practice self-care with your loved ones. Men don’t always admit it, but they need to relax too. Having that sheet mask and movie night together can be a good couple goal. Massaging each other is also a great way to feel closer and more relaxed. If your bathtub is big enough to accommodate two people, go for a luxurious bath together and take the time to be together without your phones or external distractions.
